For our signature railroad spike knives, we collaborated with Stan Starika to fashion leather knive sheaths exclusively for Northern Crescent Iron. This leather sheath is hand crafted in Fairview, NC and tailored to fit our hand-forged iron knives perfectly. Made from fine leather and carefully waxed and conditioned to last.
You’ll find the snap is strong, quick to open, and easy to maneuver. The sheaths are stored at our facility and matched with each knife before they ship out. This special leather knife sheath will protect the blade for generations.
*This sheath will not work with railroad spike knives made by other crafters. It is specially fitted to Northern Crescent Iron knives.*
ATTENTION! PLEASE READ: If you are purchasing this sheath for one of our spike knives made before November 2015 please send us a message / photo of the knife to confirm that it will be compatible. If you order a sheath and it is not compatible with one of our older knives, you can return it for a full product refund. All sheaths purchased with a new knife will be confirmed to match before being shipped to you.
This sheath is compatible with all Northern Crescent Ironworks knives, with the exception of the K1-T, K5, K14 and K15 knives. Also available in Black, Tan or Gator.

Fantastic knife and very nice leather sheath that fits the railroad spike knife perfectly. My wife for Father’s Day purchased for me the railroad spike knife. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it at first but after giving it a good sharpening and receiving the leather sheath I must say I’m very impressed. It is unique and different than any knife and sheath set I have ever seen. Reminds me of the movie with Benicio del Toro “The Hunted” when he makes his own knife in the forest from a piece of rebar or something. Pretty sweet gift for collectors and knife enthusiasts. I’m looking forward to using it hunting and camping.

Gave 5 stars but there’s one mod needed… the snap pivots as it’s one piece of leather with snaps attached. It’s not secured to the main sheath; you go to unsnap to release the knife and the whole leather ring pivots in the sheath slot as it isn’t secured. Before I give as a gift (along with the K12) I’m going to heavy sew the ring to the sheath. Gave 5 stars because the leatherwork is good. Glad I didn’t have to make it, well worth the price.
